Hanoi – The capital of Vietnam
Hanoi has always been a sacred land, with strategic position in terms of politics, culture, economic for the whole country. In 1010, Ly Thai To, the first ruler of the Ly’s dynasty, moved the capital of Dai Viet from Hoa Lu to Dai La citadel. While his boat arrived at Nhi Ha river (now is Red river), he saw a dragon ascending and so decided to rename the capital as Thang Long (ascending dragon), The year 1010 then became a historical time not only for Hanoi but it is also a unforgettable moment in the history of Vietnamese peoples. Through Ly, Tran, Le dynasties, Hanoi had become a powerful capital with hundreds of magnificent palaces and pagodas.
Hanoi has recently been included on TripAdvisor’s list of best destinations in the world for the first time. It ranked 8th among the world’s top 25 destinations.
Day 1: Ha Noi arrival
On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you are met and transferred to hotel by Trans Ocean Service’s tour guide. It is time for you to relax after long journey. In the evening, we will enjoy our welcome dinner at a fine local restaurant in town. Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 2: Ha Noi city tour (B,L,D)
AM: Breakfast at your hotel, we will visit the Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum and one pillar pagoda, the Temple of Literature.
Note: Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum (Only open in the morning, from 7:30 to 10:30 in the summer and 8:00 to 11:00 in the winter. Close on Monday, Friday and October and November)
PM:You visit the Museum of Ethnology, one-hour cyclo around the Old Quarter, enjoy the unique Water Puppet show.
Day 3: Ha Noi – Ninh Binh (B,L)
AM: Leave Hanoi Capital for Ninh Binh, enjoying the beautiful sceneries of the rural areas on the way. About 10h00 arrive Hoa Lu, visit the the two temples of King Dinh and King Le in the 10th century, finding out the heroic histories of this two Kings in Chinese Wars. After that, you go to Tam Coc (10 km far from Hoa Lu).
PM: After lunch you will get on bamboo boat – rowed by the local people – in Hoang Long river to visit Tam Coc (three caves) on the way, you also have chance to see the paddy field if you visit Tam Coc in April or September.
15h30: Back to the Harbor for the car transfer to Hanoi.
17h45: Arrive in Hanoi, dinner at restaurant and Overnight in hotel.
Day 4 : Ha Noi – Ha Long bay
AM: 08.00: You depart for Ha Long City. We’ll stop for a short break of 15 minutes on halfway.
11.30: Arrival in Ha Long City. You move from car to modern boat. You’ll have the choice of enjoying a sumptuous seafood lunch on the boat.
PM: 13.00: Time to climb aboard the boat and get out on the water of Ha Long Bay. On your cruise you’ll visit two of Ha Long’s most famous caves: Thien Cung Cave or the Palace of Heaven Grotto and Dau Go Cave or the Wooden Stake Grotto. Afterwards, we’ll take you by one of the area’s famous floating villages where you’ll regard the fishermen who make their livings out on the water and by as well as the famous Fighting Cock Islet.
16.00: You depart via modern car for Hanoi, arriving in the city at about 7.30 pm . Overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 5: Ha Noi – Departure (B)
Today we are free and at our leisure until the time to transfer to the airport for you flight home. Tour ends. TransOcean Service awaits to serve you next trip.
